We are so glad you found us!

We are a loving couple hoping to build our family through adoption. We live in New York, close to a beautiful beach, with our orange kitty, Winnie.

We have been together for 10 years, and just celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary. We met online and after our first date, we knew this was something special.

Our dream is to expand our family through adoption, and we can't wait to share our love, adventures, and joy with a child.

Our Story

From the moment we met, we connected right away over a shared love of travel, halloween, watching sports, our nearby hometowns, the importance of family and our love of cats! We have since built a life filled with adventure and cherished moments. We love traveling together, creating unforgettable memories along the way. Spending time with our friends and family is incredibly important to us, and we find so much joy in gathering for meals, celebrations, and simple moments of laughter and love.

About Carolyn

I grew up in a beach town in New York, only about 20 minutes from where Alex grew up. My family and friends mean the world to me and we are lucky to live near so many of them. I work as a Culture Coordinator and my job is to make sure employees are happy & enjoy their workplace environment! I am naturally a very positive person and love helping people feel happy at work! My favorite activities are reading & writing, long days at the beach, puzzles, and going overboard on holiday decorations (particularly Halloween) and I can’t wait to share these interests with a child. Marrying Alex was the best decision of my life & it warms my heart to think about him becoming a father. I know that together we will create a loving and safe space for a child to grow.

About Alex

I am a loving husband, son, and brother who enjoys living close to family. After working as a busy lawyer for years, I decided to start my own law firm to make sure I will always be able to provide for my family and be able to balance work and home life. My favorite activities are spending time with friends, watching sports and playing board games. I enjoy reading and exploring new places and I’m always eager to learn and discover new things and have new experiences. I am so excited to share my life, passions, and values with a child and to provide a nurturing and stable home. With Carolyn by my side, I look forward to creating a life filled with love, support, and endless opportunities.

Alex’s thoughts on Carolyn

Everyone who has met Carolyn would describe her as kind, caring and bubbly. She makes everyone feel welcomed and loved effortlessly. Being married to Carolyn feels like I'm living in a storybook. She supports me through the highs and the lows, while knowing how to make me laugh and pushes me to be a better person. I am so excited to see her raise a child who will take on her personality and values.

Carolyn’s thoughts on Alex

Alex is the type of person that makes you feel safe and at ease. He is an incredibly supportive partner and a great listener, which is something I love most about him. Alex has a wonderful group of friends and a very nurturing family. He is always up for something fun and gently pushes me out of my comfort zone when he knows it will be worth it. Sharing a life with him is simply the best.

Fun Facts

Favorite place to travel

We both love Hawaii and have been twice together – our favorite was driving the Road to Hana on Maui. We drove through the rainforest in a convertible and saw beautiful waterfalls and colorful trees and ate the best banana bread.

We go to Myrtle Beach, SC for a week every summer with our friends and their 6 year old son, and spend the week on the beach, playing mini golf, riding around town on the golf cart, and playing games.

Favorite Current Music

We both love any music we can sing along to.

Carolyn’s current favorite is Billie Eilish and HER.

Alex’s current favorite is Paramore.

You will also catch us singing along to any early 2000s pop music (NSYNC, Backstreet Boys, Spice Girls).

Favorite Movies of all time

Carolyn’s favorite movies are the Lord of the Rings movies.

Alex’s all time favorite movie is Shutter Island.

Recently we saw and really loved Wonka! (Carolyn loves the original Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.)

Favorite Foods

Carolyn’s favorite food is a good french fry and her dad’s cherry pie that he makes from scratch every Christmas

Alex’s favorite food is an everything bagel toasted with cream cheese.

Favorite Broadway Shows

We love going into New York City to see Broadway shows!

Most recently we saw Moulin Rouge and loved it, but Carolyn’s favorite is The Lion King (which she’s seen 5 times)!

Favorite Activities

We love playing board games together and sometimes get a little competitive about it!

Carolyn loves puzzles, the NY Rangers and any sort of ghost hunter tv show.

Alex loves reading, watching Survivor and rooting for the Green Bay Packers.
